Incense of the day: Ginger This spell is used to gain personal strength and courage, to enhance our passion for a vocation, to deal with a difficult situation, to increase vitality, or to face coming changes. Mars can also help us to deal effectively with anger-either expressing it or absorbing it. The operative words are "fire" and "energy." Light six red or orange candles. Burn dragon's blood resin for incense. Wear a red robe or other similar article of clothing. Play music with drums and a primal rhythmic element. Stand before the brightly lit altar, swaying to the music, feeling the light and heat of the candles and the passionate rhythm of the drums fill you. Chant an invocation to Mars: God of fire, God of passion, God of strength and bravery; Fill me now with all your power; Lend your might and will to me. Build the energy, and be sure to ground and center when finished. |
