Color of the day: Coral
Incense of the day: Thyme Some Christians will tell you that St. Martin, whose feast day is celebrated today, was a saint famous for his acts of charity. He was said to have cut his coat in half in order to clothe a naked beggar. But the sad truth is Martin was behind the destruction of many of the Druidic groves and responsible for the murder of Druidic priests. Celebrate this day by planting a sacred tree: birch, rowan, ash, alder, willow, hawthorn, oak, holly or hazel. Say as you work: Sacred tree I plant thee, So your roots will reach deep within the earth And your branches reach high toward the highest heavens. May you shelter and inspire me For all the years to come. Leave a crystal at the base of your tree as a gift to the tree spirits. |
