Incense of the day: Cedar For this ritual, you'll need a brown candle, salt, and one or more of the following oils: lavender, myrrh, sandalwood, or ylang-ylang. We've all experienced distress and heavy negativity in the workplace. Whatever the cause, this ritual should help alleviate it. Dress the candle with the oil. Draw a circle of salt around the candle and its holder. Light the candle. Ground and center yourself. Focus your thoughts on a happy workplace-a place you enjoy going to each day. Hold the bottle of oil in your hands, pouring all of those images into it. Set the oil near the candle, and leave it there as the flame burns. Tomorrow, before entering work, dab some of the oil on your wrists and inhale the aroma. Let it remind you of your enjoyable workplace. Burn the candle each night until the following Friday. Wear the oil until you no longer need it. In the future, if you feel things beginning to grow tense once more, you can always start wearing the oil again. |
