Color of the day: Turquoise
Incense of the day: Myrrh Today is known as Devil's Night or Mischief Night. In many cities in recent times, harmless mischief has unfortunately escalated to destruction. In older times the mischief was harmless, and merry-making was in celebration of the harvest and anticipation of winter. To reclaim the harmless merry-making, sense of mischief, and good cheer, go into a meditative state. You find yourself in a clearing at the edge of a forest at night-time. There is a big bonfire and people are dancing all around it, laughing and having a good time. You can hear drums, fiddle music, and singing. The rhythm catches you and you feel a song well up inside you. You begin to sing along, and one of the dancers reaches out and pulls you into the dance. You enter wholeheartedly into the frenzy. Finally the music slows and you walk slowly up the path, singing your song. Breathe deep and return to the here and now. |
