Spell: Bringing in the Elements

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As the Earth turns on the cusp of autumn, it's a fine time to work with the elements. Earth grounds us and gives us our center. Bring earth into your space with natural stoneware or earthenware. Set stones, rocks, and crystals around your home. Use natural sea salt in your kitchen. Air is energizing and improves the mind's clarity. Open the windows. Burn candles, incense, or essential oils. Hang wind chimes and banners outside your windows and mobiles inside your home. Fire is energy in its purest form. To bring in fire, burn candles and incense. If you have a fireplace, use it for companionable fires and as a point of gathering and meditation. Hang prismatic crystals in your windows. Cook with fiery spices and peppers. Water calms, soothes, and heals. Set up a small, bubbling tabletop fountain. Put out a bowl of water, with flower petals or floating candles on its surface.
