You can use a taper candle or a votive candle in a votive cup. Use whichever style you prefer. Light a purple, gold, and green candle, not only for Mardi Gras but for a touch of color magic. The color purple enhances power, green encourages properity, and gold is for success. If you like, you could add some Mardi Gras beads, coins, and other accessories to your altar set up. Take a few moments and meditate on this New Moon and all the possibilities it brings, and link into that energy. Then light the candles and repeat the spell verse.
Purple for power, now come to me, While the green promotes prosperity, The gold is for riches, fame and success, May my New Moon magic truly be blessed. Let the good times roll, is what they say. The magic begins this very day. Allow the candles to burn in a safe place until they go out on their own. |
