Spell: Rune Cookies

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Runes are an ancient method of divination. Each rune's meaning may stand alone or interact with nearby runes. So you can throw the runes, lay them in a spread like tarot cards, or draw them singly. Here's a fun variation on drawing single runes. Bake a batch of 24 cookies, one for each rune. (If you have extra, just eat them!)
Sugar cookie recipes work well, though you can use any smooth cookie. Now, make some red icing. If you have a "ribbon" tip decorator bag, use it to apply stiff icing. Otherwise, you can thin the incing and paint a different rune symbol on the bottom of each cookie with a small brush. After the frosting dries, turn the cookies right-side up so nobody can see the runes. Pass around the platter for everybody to take a cookie. The cookie/rune you choose gives you your message for the day.
