Spell: Festival of Salus

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is the Festival of Salus, a Greek goddess who was often petitioned for protection of health and safety. She was the daughter of Asclepius, god of healing. Today is also a Saturday during a waning moon - what better time to break out some magic to protect your health and well-being?
First carve a snake on a green taper candle. Then fill a goblet or wine glass halfway with salt, and stand the candle in the salt. Light the candle and repeat the following charm:

"Lady Salus, hear my call.
I hereby banish one and all
Any obstacle to my well-being and health
And replace it with vitality and wealth.
I create a shield by salt, goblet, and snake,
And release all adversity in my wake."

Allow the candle to burn out, and throw the salt and candle stump far away from your home.
