| It is wise to bless the rings you shall wear (hopefully always) as symbols of your marriage bond. Sometimes, we are not fortunate enough to be able to have a full-fledged Pagan handfasting ceremony due to family differences or other reasons. In that case, a simple but heartfelt private blessing said over the rings is a very effective means of giving them proper direction and magical intent. If possible, slip the rings over the end of a wand or hold them in both hands as you send white light into them and say this spell:
"Symbol of union worn on the hand, golden circles of eternity, protect and nurture the love for which you stand, blessed you shall ever be." Keep the rings in a white or pink magic bag until the ceremony to preserve the charge. |
