Spell: Declare Your Independence

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is Independence Day in the United States, a day to celebrate and reassess our freedoms. What holds you captive? Declare your independence from whatever is holding you back with this tarot spell.
Lay down the Devil card. This is you now-full of potential, but chained under the Beast. Write that from which you would be freed on a piece of paper, and place it on top of the Devil.
Hold the Lovers card in your hand. This is where you want to be-blessed by the Divine and free to choose your own destiny. Speak aloud:

"I declare my independence from
[habit]. It holds no power over me."

Cover the Devil card and slip of paper with the Lovers card. Look at the Lovers when you need a boost in confidence. At the end of the day, burn the paper and blow the ashes into the wind.
