Spell: New Moon of Waning Fire

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This new moon (in Sagittarius)can be used to gather up solar energy to be used for things like travel magic or to ward off seasonal affective disorder. For this, you will need one length of red cord and two lengths of black cord (twelve to eighteen inches long, each), a red candle and an orange candle, and black clothing.
Place the red candle on the left of the altar and the orange candle on the right. Light the candles, and begin to braid the cords together. Tie a knot at the top, and braid down to the bottom. Tie another knot in the bottom and then six more knots in the cord. As you tie each knot, visualize and ask that the light and warmth of the sun be held within each knot. Once the cord is complete, you can wear or carry it to help you through fall and winter.
