Tuesday is ruled by Mars ( Tyr or Tiw in Old English). Originally an archaic god, Mars was not a war god until he was conflated with the Greek Ares. Mars was the son of Juno, second in importance to Jupiter, and he took up arms to defend his land and his people. He created conditions in and near Rome that allowed crops to grow. If you're feeling threatened in some way, call on Mars on a Tuesday:
"Great Father Mars, just as you protected your lands and people in earlier days, be present with me now and defend me from (name the threat) and keep me safe. Send your warriors to stand invisibly at my door. Send your wild animals to walk invisibly by my side. Send energy to me to help me grow stronger so that I, like you, may fight if necessary for the good of the earth." |
