Spell: Day-After Full Moon Oceanic Bathtime

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

In many traditions of Witchcraft and other lunar-based spiritual paths, the day before and the day after the full moon (or new moon) are considered sacred because they jump-start the waxing or waning process. Today is the first day of lunar waning within the solar sign of Pisces, the intuitive water sign of the fishes.

Create an oceanic bath by drawing some warm water and adding sea salt, essential oils, seashells, and even pieces of nori (seaweed) if you dare! While you soak by candlelight, visualize the roaring sea, which is of course ruled by the tides of the moon. Consider playing some music, such as a CD featuring the sounds of the ocean.

Commune with the Great Goddess in her aspect of Mother Ocean. Allow the womb of life to take you within and provide you with cleansing from head to toe. Feel the Mother's warmth healing and protecting you from the inside out. Plug your nose and "scream" underwater to release pent-up energy. Finally, give thanks and visualize your stresses being released and flowing down the drain on this first day of the waning tide.
