Spell: New Year's Eve Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Tonight we tie a knot on the endless cord of time to signal the end of another year. Use this spell to cleanse yourself and your home so you don't bring negative energy into the new year.

You'll need a bayberry-scented candle, two feet of garden twine, and your cauldron. Light the candle to purify your space. Tie twelve knots in the twine to represent each month. Don't worry if they aren't evenly spaced. Then tie the ends together to symbolize the Wheel of the Year. Now hold the twine and say:

"I thank the divine for the good
fortune I've had this year,
I face the future without fear.
A year ends, a year begins,
My spirit is renewed as
the Wheel turns again."

To release the past, drop the Wheel of the Year that you made with the twine into the cauldron and burn it. Let the candle burn for a while.
