Unfortunately, during this month of hearts and candy, some of us must face the fact that someone we love no longer loves us. There comes a time when we must let a love go. This spell will help make this painful process easier. When you let some one you love go so that they may find happiness, you are expressing true, unselfish love.

You’ll need one violet-colored candle in a holder. Light the candle. Ground and center, then say:

Once we were hand to hand
and heart to heart,
But now we must part.
I cherish the time we had together,
But I realize nothing lasts forever.
After we’ve said our good-byes,
I’ll have peace knowing
true love never dies.

Snuff out the candle, then whisper:
My pain is now released,
May you go in peace.

Repeat this ritual until you feel a sense of calm.
