Today is the anniversary of comic book writer Stan Lee’s death in 2018. Lee’s fantastic tales of superheroes remind us that even if we don’t have such dramatic powers, we can be superheroes in our everyday lives. What do you do in the world to help others? Do you use your gifts to benefit the world? Light a candle and engage the fire element in the form of passion. Journal about what your passions are, and brainstorm ways you can use them to do good in the world. Perhaps you help an elderly neighbor or you tutor students who need help after school. Maybe you have a talent such as art or music, and you offer lessons to those who lack opportunity. Whatever your strengths are, employ those as your superpowers to make the world a better place! Be sure to extinguish the candle when you’re done. |
