Spell: Cleansing with Bitter Herbs

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is the last day of Passover, an important holiday in the Jewish religion. Passover celebrates the freeing of the Jews from slavery and is observed in a number of different ways. The best known of these is a meal called the Seder, which features many specific foods with symbolic meanings. This includes the eating of bitter herbs, including horseradish, endive, or romaine lettuce.

There are many different kinds of slavery, including addictions, bad relationships, and destructive habits. To symbolize your intention to free yourself from anything that enslaves you, chew on some bitter herbs and say:

I give up the bitter and
embrace the sweet,
Freeing myself from all
forms of enslavement
And allowing my spirit
to expand and grow.

Then follow this up by eating something sweet.
