Spell: Charging Items with the Power of the Moon

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Witches love working with lunar energy. While we often are obsessed with full moons, we can sometimes overlook the subtle but powerful energy of the new moon. It’s a time of new beginnings, to refresh and to look inward. This is also a great time to charge our magical items.

Within the darkness of the night sky, the new moon is invisible to us, but it emits such a powerful aura for magical work! For this spell, all you need to do is take whatever items you feel need a good energetic cleanse and charge. It could be a piece of jewelry or even your wand or athame. Just after sunset, place your items in a safe space where they will be under a clear sky. Feel free to sit with your items and set the intention out loud that you are cleansing and charging them with new moon energy. Bring the items in the next morning and use them as you normally would.
