Spell: Who Are You?

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

For his 1965 musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, lyricist Alan Jay Lerner wrote that we can “rise up and see” who we are and have been. (The musical is partly about reincarnation.) We can, he wrote, see ourselves more clearly. Here in 2024, when everything seems to be murkier than ever, too many people seem to be clueless about who they are. Declare your intention to seek that forever vision. Look for clarity.

Find a peaceful spot, perhaps outdoors, and breathe deeply to center yourself. Rise above yourself and enter into a magical state of questioning and answering. Look around. What’s the big picture where you are? Rise up and look closely through that forever lens at yourself, past and present, maybe future. What do you see? Use the clarity to see who you truly are. When you come back down to earth, look around again and speak aloud who you are. Now resolve to always act through that clarity.
