Speak these words to evoke the ancient protection of the Passover holiday:
Starry nights and brilliant days, Protection bless us, And fill this space.
May those we love gather in strength, And unify at times of strife. We call upon the Cosmos of which we are a part, May we flow with you and make a start.
Winds of night, Blow softly and upon all beneath. Waters of the sea, Protect us as we bathe in your healing deep.
Fires of the earth, Warm us without harm. Bring energy and not disaster.
Earth beneath our feet, Stay solid and true, As we move upon your ground.
May we be granted The blessings of long life. May the heavens smile upon us, Every day of our long, full lives.
May the wisdom of the ancients, Visit us in our dreams, And fill our waking time.
By the power of the bear, May there be strength in our actions.
By the vision of the hawk, May our sight be ever sharp. By the grace of the cat, May our bodies and spirits be lithe.
These things be granted,
So mote it be.
