Spell: Children’s Festival Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Black
Incense of the day: Gardenia

On this day, folks in China observe the Children's Festival. The Chinese enjoy a rich family life with very strong ties through the generations. That is, the Chinese revere their ancestors, and children represent a continuing life for the departed. If you have children, today is a good time to take them for a picnic or a walk in the park. If you don't have children but think you may want some someday, today is a good day to practice. Take a friend's children on an outing, and give the parents a day off. Here is a special blessing you can say silently during the excursion:

Father, mother,
bless each other.
God bless the little boys,
and goddess bless the girls.
They make a joyful noise,
skipping feet, bouncing curls!
