Spell: Festival of the Grape Vines Ritual

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Pink
Incense of the day: Almond

In ancient Greece, today was the Festival of the Grape Vines. Visit the community gardens in your area and you'll notice a heady, intoxicating scent now-grapes ripening on the vine! In ancient times, wine was a sacred drink and aphrodisiac, as well as an everyday beverage. Many modern Pagans enjoy making their own wines from various fruits and herbs. When you make dinner tonight, serve a carefully chosen bottle of wine and offer a toast to the gods of the vine: Dionysus, Ariadne, and Bacchus. Ask their blessings of inspiration and ecstasy, saying:

Great gods of the grapevine, bless this cup and the wine contained within. Let it inspire me and bestow upon me health and wealth and strength and joy and peace. So mote it be!
