Before people start eating, offer this toast: Virgin to mother she passes, Good Pagan folk raise glasses. Make a toast to the newcomer, Goddess of birth and of summer. From her breasts flow milk and honey; She makes life sweet and days sunny. Hail, Hail to the divine Mother! Before her stands no other! Clink glasses together, drink, and commence the feasting. |
