Incense of the day: Poplar This is the time in Inuit tradition of the Asking festival. In the spirit of this tradition, find a drum or a rattle now. Make a sacred circle with white candles or white objects of power such as carved stones, statues, and the like, and stand in the middle. Slowly beat the drum or shake the rattle, breathing in and out and visualizing the energy flowing from the beat. Feel the strength raise as you drum or shake faster and faster. When it has reached the zenith do one final crash and raise your arms, shouting "Yes!" as loudly as you can. Feel the surge of power come through you now. Slowly bring the energy down and ground by touching your head to the floor. The energy is now there and the power is part of you. When you need it, simply ask. |
