| Sometimes our clutter gets in the way of greater prosperity. True generosity allows our lives to be richer in more ways than those involving money.
This simple activity helps you to mindfully declutter. Put on some good music and some old clothes. Pick a spot in need of a good sorting out. Wade in, sorting things into piles of what can be donated to charity and what can be pitched in the trash or recycling. If possible, put things away as you come to them. When you're finished with your chosen spot, take care of the piles of sorting. Immediately put trash where it goes. If you made a pile of things to put away, then go put them away. Finally, set your donations in a spot where you'll remember to take them to a secondhand shop. If possible, go and take them now. Do so joyfully, knowing that you've opened up your life to more possibilities and that the energy can flow a little more freely in your home. |
