Spell: Banishing the Blahs

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

In the waning half of the year through the winter months, many of us experience a bit of seasonal affective disorder (SAD), to one degree or another. If you are having a particularly dreary day, here is a spell to help remind you that the light will return and to hopefully chase away some of the blahs.
Take a yellow candle and anoint it with an oil that has an uplifting effect on the mood, such as frankincense or lemongrass, and carve a sun symbol of your choice on its side.
Light and visualize the glowing yellow light surrounding you while reciting:

"Candle of yellow, burning bright,
Remind me of the sun's soon returning light.
Assist me in the chasing away this dreary plight.
Help the mood of today become more light."

Allow the candle to burn itself out, or snuff and relight as necessary.
