| Winter brings long, cold nights. It is a time of rest. The wind stirs outside the walls. The full moon shines down on the smooth white snow so that the world is dark and bright all at once. This is a good time for invoking the moon's power over the realm of sleep.
To cast this spell, you need a silver coin, such as a dime or quarter. Hold the coin under the light of the full moon. Focus on your desire for peaceful sleep, then say: "Full moon, round and bright, Clad in coat of white. Through the sky you go, Over ice and snow. Silent watch you keep, Guard me in my sleep." When you're ready for bed, place the coin on or near the headboard and repeat the incantation. Think about the full moon keeping watch as you drift to sleep. |
