The French Revolutionaries in the years after 1789 created goddesses that embodied their political ideals: liberté, raison, égalité. On November 10, 1793, a festival was held in Notre Dame Cathedral to honor these goddesses. A "temple of philosophy" was erected in the cathedral, and soon there were similar temples in churches throughout France.
Erect your own temple of philosophy. Sit comfortably before your altar and go into your alpha state. Visit a classical temple and ask to meet La Liberté, La Raison, and L'Egalité. When the goddesses appear, speak with them about wisdom, equality, and the ideals of true democracy. When you return to normal consciousness, think about what you can place on your altar. The Statue of Liberty is sometimes said to be a goddess. Perhaps you can add your "I voted" sticker from the last election. What other symbols of liberty, reason, and equality can you add? |
