Spell: Empowering Yourself Through Nature

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our everyday existence that we lose our connection to the natural world. To help stay connected, we can practice recycling, gardening, animal raising, and local food consumption. We can also choose to stay abreast of both global and local environmental issues, and even choose to practice environmental activism and education.
To renew your connection to nature, take an apple and a stick of your favorite incense to a forest or park. Find the tree that calls to you. Light the incense (safely), then in gratitude to the dryad (the spirit of the tree), offer the apple in a nook of the tree so that it can be consumed by the forces of nature, both seen and unseen. Sit beneath the tree with your back against the trunk. Enter a meditative state of consciousness, and envision the essence of the tree and the earth merging with your aura. After you've swapped energy with the element of earth, extinguish the incense and leave it at the base of the tree. Declare:

"Nature within and nature without, guide my life as I serve you throughout."
