Altars are just as different from each other as the people who set them up. Some people have several altars-some for daily use, some for sabbat use, some for esbats, some for spells. Some people use the same altar and just change the setup to suit their needs at the time.
Spend some time today evaluating your altar. What do you like about it? Is there something you want to change? Are you too used to it, so that your practice has become monotonous? If you have been using the same setup for a long time, is there something you can add to it or change to update it? Make any changes you want and spice up your altar. Breathe new life into it. Then do a brief altar cleansing ( physical and spiritual), blessing, and dedication. |
