Spell: Breaking the Cycle of Addiction

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

With the Crone's Sickle moon in Gemini today, communication and cutting ties are both highlighted, so it's a really good time to do some soul-searching if you're finding yourself fighting an addiction.

For this spell, take a black or darkblue pillar candle and carve it with symbols or words describing your addiction and your emotions around it. Tie one end of a black cord around the candle, and the other end around your wrist. Ground and center yourself, and open to the messages of the divine. Explore in meditation all the reasons for this addiction and all the avenues and attachments to this substance, as well as how the addiction manifests. When you're ready, cut the thread, saying:

"Addiction, begone! (Name of
addiction), you have power over
me no longer! So mote it be!"

Follow up by finding support through a group, therapist, or friend-quitting addictions is much harder to do alone.

Make sure you rid your space of the substance, take heart, and be blessed. Repeat as needed.
