Spell: Corn Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is Lammas (also called Lughnasadh), the first of the three harvest festival sabbats. Corn is among the popular grains celebrated today, so it’s a perfect time to do a blessing of abundance on our homes.

Find a bundle of Indian corn and place it upon your altar. Gather the members of your household around it and hold your hands over the corn, with palms facing down. Say a blessing such as the following while sending your intent into the corn:

"Grain of corn, abundantly you grow,
Your blessings aplenty may we sow.
Through the year, may they grow.
Harvests blessings we shall know!"

Finish your blessing by anointing the corn with holy water, then hang the bundle in a place of honor, such as above your home’s main threshold, the altar, or the hearth.
