| Autumn is the time to plant spring-flowering bulbs. It is also the time to affirm your belief in the endless cycle of reincarnation. As you perform this ritual, think of the Greek goddess Demeter who controls the seasons. Select the bulbs you wish to plant, and as you plant them say: "I place you into the womb of Mother Earth, I respect the seasons and the miracle of birth, death, and rebirth." To refresh this spell, when the bulbs bloom in the spring, thank Demeter by placing a kernel of corn into the soil. If you don't garden, perform thisritual indoors, using a bulb-forcing kit available at garden centers. |
