This spell is so easy, you’ll wonder why you haven’t been doing it for ages! You’ll need a household broom and some coarse sea salt.

Using the broom, go through every room of your house and sweep up the floor. Keep sweeping until you’re at an outside door. Open the door and sweep everything outside. Keep sweeping until everything is off your property! If you have carpets, just go through the motion of sweeping everything up. Remember, it’s your intent that’s important, not how much you actually collect. Don’t forget to go into corners and under furniture.

Once you’ve swept anything negative or unwanted outside and off your property, sprinkle some salt on either side of the threshold of the door. As you do so, say these words:

Salt of the earth and salt from the sea,
Protect my home and dwelling,
times three!

Spin around clockwise three times, and you’re finished!
