Spell: Seed and Garden Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Springtime heralds the arrival of gardening in most locations, and carrying out a seed and garden blessing will start the season off right.

You’ll need some packets of seeds, a trowel or small shovel, some organic fertilizer, and a cup of water.

Carry the items to your garden location. Hold the seeds skyward and say:

I honor these seeds, each carrying
the essence of new life and the gifts
of food, warmth, and shelter. May
I learn the lessons of these seeds
and respect their perseverance.

With the trowel, dig a small hole in the garden soil, saying:

I honor the Earth, from whom
the great mystery of life springs.

Pour the fertilizer and water into the hole, saying:

May these gifts of food and water
be repaid in favored bounty. May
the fruits of my labor show love
and respect for this process.

Cover the hole. Place the seed packets on your altar until planting time.
