Spell: Spring Equinox Blessing Basket

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

We all know spring is about renewal; it’s one of the most magical times of the year. In this ritual you will create a blessing basket—a decorative item to display on your altar that represents your magical life. You can also include things you wish to manifest in the coming year. It’s like an Easter basket, but instead of candy, put in crystals, tarot cards, candles, etc. Of course, you can certainly add eggs and flowers, too. You can line the basket with decorative moss or just use a napkin or altar cloth.

Next, write your goals and wishes on pieces of paper and tuck them into the basket among the flowers, eggs, crystals, and other items. Or you can hide the papers in little decorative plastic eggs. Keep the basket in a place where you can see it until summer, and then, on a full moon night, dismantle it and bury the papers.

These baskets also make wonderful gifts, especially for those new to magic or anyone who could use some new ritual tools.
