Use this spell to create a physical path when weeds or grass need to be removed, as well as a metaphorical path when current obstacles are blocking your progress. Cut out enough pieces of cardboard to cover the areas you want to convert into a path. If you don’t have a yard or garden where you need to create a path, you can adapt the spell by using small flat stones instead of cardboard, arranging them on top of the soil surrounding an indoor potted plant. Using a washable marker or pencil, draw a symbol or write a word on each stone or piece of cardboard to represent a blockage or obstacle you wish to remove. Place the cardboard or stones with the blank side facing upward and the symbols or words facedown. Think about the words or symbols that represent your obstacles being enveloped in darkness, facing the ground and blocked from any light. If you’re using cardboard, weigh it down so it won’t blow away, and leave it in place until the vegetation beneath dies away, making it easy to prepare the ground for your new pathway. Dispose of the cardboard or add it to the compost as you say: The weeds are gone! The path is made! If you’re using the stones and potted plant substitution, wait until you’ve fully cleared the obstacles, then remove the stones, wash off any remaining markings, and return them to the earth away from your property. |
