Spell: A Vagus (Nerve) Vacation

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Lie on your back on a carpet or exercise mat, somewhere comfortable yet firm (not a couch or mattress). Bend your knees so your feet are planted on the ground, and close your eyes. Visualize a web of light surrounding and supporting you, pulsating with healing energy. As you relax, your body, mind, and spirit are able to receive more of this nourishing energy.

To facilitate this relaxation with a vagus nerve exercise, cradle the back of your head in your hands, fingers gently clasped. Without moving your head, look as far as you can to the right, maintaining this orientation until you experience a deep sigh, swallow, or yawn. Bring your gaze back to center and rest a moment, then repeat by looking as far as you can to the left. Return to center, and soak in this healing energy for as long as you wish, bringing your hands to rest on your belly.
