Spell: Cheery Cherry Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Silver
Incense of the day: Frankincense

Keep the kids happy with this fun day-after-Washington's-birthday activity. Put up an image of Amaterasu, the Japanese Sun goddess. Tell the kids it is Cheery Cherry Blossom Day, and that
dinner will be Japanese-style. Sit cross-legged on the floor around the coffee table for dinner. Serve green tea scented with cherry, and Japanese take-out with cherry pie for dessert. Burn Japanese cherry incense and have each family member ask Amaterasu for happiness and sunny days. Encourage the kids to dress Japanese-style for this event. Get library books and learn to write haiku or to make origami animals. Have fun.
