Spell: Festival of Colors

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Yellow
Incense of the day: Lilac

On this day, Hindu people celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colors. It is a time of revelry, pranks, and general silliness. But the most distinctive part of this holiday is the custom of throwing colored powders and water on each other. This represents the brilliant hues of spring flowers. Celebrate Holi with your friends by obtaining some colored powders (powdered chalk, tempera paint, etc.) and/or colored water (use a few drops of food coloring or Easter egg dye). Wear white or light-colored clothes that you don't mind wrecking-or at least re-coloring!-and splash each other generously. Now here's the magical part: Charge each batch of powder or water with color energy. Red is physical energy, blue is spiritual, green is healing, and so on. Bless your friends with the color of the energy you believe they need most at this time. This is a fun family ritual to perform with small children, too.
