Spell: The Womanly Power of Red

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

There is no denying the power of red. It is the color of fire, power, and passion. It can add energy to your spells and cure dead zones in your home. Crystals hung at the windows with red ribbons or thread ward off bad spirits and invite good into your life.
Every month at around the time of the new moon (yesterday), groups of women across the country gather together under the umbrella of the Red Tent Temple Movement. No children (except for the smallest of babies) are allowed in circle, and no men. Here, women find comfort and companionship, sisterhood and sanctuary. Participants share lively conversation, refreshments, and occasionally crafts, and the day ends with chanting and song and dance to honor the goddess in all women. With dozens of Red Tent Temple chapters across the country, there is sure to be one near you. Or you may wish to start a chapter on your own.
