On January 3, 1870, construction began on the Brooklyn Bridge. Let's do a bridge-building spell.
Do you have a goal that seems impossible to reach? You need a bridge! For this spell, you will need some sculpting clay, a dish of water, and some embroidery thread. Sculpt two "islands" of appropriate colors representing "today" and "goal." If your goal is wealth, then your goal island should be green. If you want romance, make it pink. Your thread should also be goal-colored. Form a pillar on each island from which a bridge can be built. Place the water dish between the finished islands. Speak the story of your problem: I am ____ and I want ____, but I don't see a way to get it. I need a bridge. String the thread in a loop from the today island to the goal island and tie a knot. Say: I am building a bridge. Repeat nine times. When you're ready, say three times: I have a bridge! I will reach my goal! |
