Spell: Lemon, Clove, and Salt Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Every now and then we may feel the need to reinforce our wards, our boundaries, our shields. This spell draws upon Italian folk magic and three simple ingredients found in many homes: lemon, clove, and salt.

Ground, center, and align. Go to the kitchen or a working space that is embedded in your day-to-day home life. Take the bright yellow lemon, which has solar associations, and begin to draw up empowered breath from the earth and the worlds below. Breathe seven times over the lemon and perceive it glowing; perhaps you even hear a buzzing. Push thirteen cloves into the lemon, each time focusing on reinforcing the wards of yourself and your home. Finally, lay the lemon-and-cloves spell in a bowl containing rock salt, and do so with purpose and power. So mote it be.
