| Wake up and take your first breath. Arise and greet the dawn and the brand-new day with gratitude. Weather permitting, take your body and your spirit outside.
This chant invokes the power of east, south, west, north, above, and below. Facing east, raise your arms in salutation. Say: "Hail to the golden sun and the blessed new day that has begun." Keep your arms raised and turn clockwise. Facing south, say: "Hail to the south." Facing west, say: "Hail to the west." Facing north, say: "Hail to the north." Face the east, look to the sky, and say: "Hail to the above, queen of heaven, great Goddess whom I love." Touch the ground and say: "Hail to the below, sacred Mother Earth." Stand up, give yourself a hug, and say: "Hail to the divine spirit that is me, that is we." Feel the love and power of the divine. Go forth and have a good day! |
