Spell: Magic Media Diet

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Every day we consume huge amounts of data: news, information, education, commercials, stories, and tons of both useful and useless stuff. It resonates within us, creating perceptions and reality. With the sun in Scorpio now, the sign known for the 1960s catchphrase "Turn on, tune in, drop out," it's a great time to go on a magical media diet.

For one day, turn off the TV, resist the radio, avoid newspapers and online news sites, and don't even read the blogs or Twitter feeds you follow. By dropping out of consuming outside media, you will turn on the inside imagination station and tune in to your own creative images. You never know what magic will bubble to the surface. Freed of outside images, our own images arise. We are inspired to create, express, and attune... to ourselves. If magic is "the power to transform energy at will," then this indeed is magic.
