Spell: New Moon Fasting Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Fasting on the new moon is believed to be very beneficial because the body's powers of detoxification are at their most powerful. Our physical vitality is very apparent at both new and full moons, so both days are perfect for paying close attention to how we treat our bodies.

On this day, eat lightly and consume only nourishing foods. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices, whole fruits, or raw salads are ideal, with maybe a few raw nuts for protein. Drink plenty of water.

When evening falls, look at the stars, made brighter by the moon's absence, and picture them illuminating your whole being from afar. Picture yourself glowing with health. Put some fresh fruit juice in a goblet, lift it to the sky, and drink, saying:

"I drink to my health. I drink in the
new moon's energy. I allow this energy
to strengthen my will. I allow my
body to release what I do not need."

Do this spell as a reminder on each new moon.
