Spell: Divination Spring

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

For this spell you will need a white candle and a yellow rose.

It is traditional on this day to perform divination focused on the end of winter and the emergence of spring. On Imbolc morning, about one to two hours before midday, go outside and recite the following cantrip:

"If Imbolc day is bright and clear,
Then winter lingers cold and near.
If Imbolc day is overcast,
Then early spring shall come at last."

Meditate on your environment. Pay attention to the temperature, the sounds, the light, etc. Tune in to the natural rhythms of the land around you. If it is sunny, then winter will linger. If it is cloudy, then spring will soon come. Return inside and light the white candle in front of a vase holding the yellow rose as a blessing of winter moving into spring.
