Spell: Tree Offering Grounding Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

To ground yourself to Mother Nature, especially if you’ve been feeling flighty or spacey lately, pluck a strand of your hair. (If you’re bald, like me, you can pluck it from another part of your body.) Venture outside and spend some time reflecting on the trees around you. See if any tree in particular seems to call out to you, and make your way to its trunk.

Lean against the tree and inhale the fresh oxygen it’s giving off. Offer the tree your breath. When you’re ready, very carefully tie the strand of hair to one of its branches. While doing this, envision roots sprouting from the soles of your feet, bringing the nourishing essence of the Mighty Mother (this energy is also called Shakti) up into your body.

Declare:
I am connected, I am grounded,
for I am a child of nature and
the teachings of the earth!

Don’t forget to practice recycling, sustainable eating, earth-conscious purchasing, and other positive Pagan acts to give back to our Great Mother.
