Spell: Obtain the Blessing of a Sylph

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Sylphs are elemental points of consciousness that exist within what we experience as the air. When we tune into them, they can help us become cleansed, alert, and revitalized.

For this spell you will need some light-smelling incense and some small wind chimes (or small bells).

Sometime in the morning, face east and light the incense. Ground and center. Imagine the light of the morning sun shining into your heart center. Imagine that the breeze, wind, and clouds are flowing through you. Say:

Morning sun and breath of life,
Vital essence, sing thy song.

Now blow upon the wind chimes (or strike the bells) and imagine that the sound is ringing inside your body as you breathe. Be aware of how the air around you is filled with tiny points of consciousness. You might imagine them as little silver spirals, but just notice however they manifest for you. Imagine breathing them in and out again, leaving you feeling refreshed and cleansed. When finished, be sure to extinguish the incense.
