On this day in 1997, Nobel Peace Prize winner Mother Teresa died. Although Catholic, she was widely known and revered by people of many faiths around the world. Mother Teresa was noted for her goals and intentions to assist the sick and the poor.
On this day, no matter what our personal financial or health status, we can contemplate how we ourselves may be able to better assist those in need around us in some way. Find a white or purple candle and a safe holder and a favorite healing anointing oil, such as lavender. Anoint the candle with the intention of illuminating in your consciousness ways that you can assist others in need from the place you are in life today. Light the candle, and in meditation, envision its radiant light bringing clarity, inspiration, and illumination. |
